Internet Privacy

These images were made for use as a reminder that there is no privacy on the internet. The images are macro photographs of water drops used as a focusing lenses to focus on an image of an eye behind the drops.

The Internet is Watching. With every click I give the watchers more information to use both for predicting and influencing my actions and behaviors. It is an uneven battle with incomprehensibly large networks of computers and brilliant algorithms on one side vs human biology on the other. We are subject to subtle influence without even realizing we are being led. This is not paranoia, it is a fact. :)
A monochrome version of the picture above.
"The Interwebs"  I made this picture in my back yard. I found a nice spider web and misted it to make water drops on it. Then I held a picture of an eye behind the web and took a macro shot focusing on the water drops. I had to stop in the middle of the process because the spider that owned the web (which spider was HUGE by the way) scuttled down to drink some of the water drops. I guess it was thirsty. After it finished drinking it ran up the web to hide in nearby leaves again and I continued with my project.  you might have to expand the picture to really be able to see what is going on.
